In a clutch performance, Chad Webber did exactly what he needed to do in Pomona to win the Super Comp season championship, which was to win the event. After surrendering a .004 to .016 holeshot to Doug Johnson, Webber raced to an 8.911 to clinch the win and the title when Johnson broke out by .008-second.
